How inner child healing helped birth "The Awake Wellness Warrioress."
There’s a photo of me when I was one. Blonde hair sticking straight up like a crown of light. Eyes wide open. Innocent. Determined. Full of spirit. A spark of something deeper… something ancient.
When I look into that little girl’s eyes now—my own eyes—I see it all. I see her. I see me. And my heart cracks open with the kind of love only time, pain, and healing can reveal.
She had no idea what was ahead of her.
No idea of the heartache, the growth, the betrayals, the beauty, the lessons. No idea of the loneliness she would face. The resilience she would build. The moments she would doubt herself, and the moments she would rise again—stronger, softer, more radiant than before.
That little girl just wanted to be loved. Not for what she did. Not for how she looked. Not for how much she gave. But for simply being.
She carried light. She carried gifts. She carried a pure heart.
And yet, like so many of us, she was shaped by life. Taught to hide her sensitivity. To “toughen up.” To shrink, to please, to prove.
But over time, and through a lot of inner work… I found her again.
And that’s when everything changed.

Inner Child Healing: A Homecoming
Inner child work isn’t some fluffy concept. It’s a sacred return. A deep, powerful reconnection with the one part of us we often forget to hold: the child within.
We all have a little version of ourselves still inside—waiting. Waiting to be seen. To be held. To be heard. To be loved, just as they are.
For me, that moment of seeing my younger self was like coming home. Tears flowed. Forgiveness unfolded. And a new kind of strength awakened in me.
Not the kind that pushes through. But the kind that softens and trusts. The kind that says, “You did your best, sweetheart. It’s safe to rest now. You are already enough.”

That’s How The Awake Wellness Warrioress Was Born
Out of that inner healing… Out of those moments of holding my inner child close and whispering truths she was never told… The woman I am today emerged.
The Awake Wellness Warrioress.
She was born not in the triumphs, but in the tending. She rose not just from strength, but from softness. She awakened through love—deep, fierce, unconditional love for herself.
The little girl with wild hair and a wild heart became a woman with vision. With purpose. With a calling to help others heal, remember, and reclaim who they truly are.

A Gentle Invitation to You
If you’re reading this, perhaps there’s a younger version of you that’s still waiting… Waiting to be held. Waiting to be told: “You are worthy. You are safe. You are so deeply loved—just as you are.”
Today, I invite you to meet that part of yourself. To honour them. To begin your own homecoming.
Because healing doesn’t always begin in the present. Sometimes, it begins with the child inside who never stopped believing in you.
And she… he… they… are still there. Waiting for your love.
