Chakra balancing with Essential Oils - Sacral Chakra

The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and translates to “wheel” or “disk,”.
Chakras references a spiritual energy center within the human body, of which there are seven along the spine, and through the neck and the crown of your head.

There are 7 main Chakras and today I wanted to talk about the second of the seven chakras. This chakra is
located in the midline of your body, about three inches below your navel and is called the Sacral Chakra.

This sacral Chakra is associate with the colour Orange and the element of water.
When this Chakra is aligned or balanced - you feel great! You are passionate, friendly, full of wellness, abundance, pleasure and joy.

When this Sacral Chakra is blocked or out of under active - you feel uninspired and have some emotional instability. You may feel inability to cope with life's changes and experience a sense of lack of control. There are many ways you can balance this chakra.

One of my favourite ways are to use Essential Oils.
You can simply anoint your Sacral Chakra point with a drop or two of Young Living's Orange, Ylang Ylang, Inner Child, Sensation or Harmony Essential Oil. These are why favourite ones by far.

Harmony is created to balance all the chakras. Sensation is an amazing blend that inspires self-love and enhances pleasure, Orange is a joyful oil, Ylang Ylang helps to balance the female and male energies - it's the yin/yang of essential oils, Inner Child helps heal emotional wounds often linked from childhood.

Other ways to balance this Chakra is using crystals such as Citrine, Carnelian and Orange Calcite. Immersing yourself in water is also a beautiful way to clear this chakra and so is doing particular poses in Yoga such as sacred pelvic circles, bound angel pose and cobra.

Eucalyptus - what a wonderful tree

Eucalyptus - what a wonderful tree
Eucalyptus is the oil of Australia to me.  It smells so fresh, citrusy and clean. It is an essential oil that many people have heard of and it was definitely the first favourite Australian oil, especially for the winter season.
The beautiful Eucalyptus Radiata is in fact grown in Australia.

But there are also a couple more Eucalyptus oils - the next one is called Eucalyptus Globulus and this one is also from Australia. This smells bold, rich and earthy.

The third Eucalyptus oil is called Eucalyptus Blue and this oil is from Ecuador. This Eucalyptus oil smells herbaceous, woody and invigorating.

Here are some of my favourite ways that I use the beautiful Eucalyptus Essential Oils:

  • I like to massage a few drops of Eucalyptus Radiata into my scalp and let the rejuvenating scent refresh my locks and my outlook.
  • I like to gently rub a drop or two of Eucalyptus Globulus behind my ears when I study or write that to-do list
  • I often add 4–6 drops of Eucalyptus Blue with Epsom Salt in my warm bath - it's so refreshing!
  • I have added 8 - 10 drops in a little glass spray bottle together with a table spoon of with hazel. I use this spray to clean my Yoga/Pilates Mat. It makes it smell amazing too!
  • I use any of the Eucalyptus oils to a carrier oil to make a massage oil. It's invigorating!
  • I sometimes add a few drops of Eucalyptus Globulus or Eucalyptus Blue to my favorite unscented lotion to help hydrate my skin.
  • I sometimes add a few drops of Eucalyptus Radiate to some coconut oil and rub it on my chest and back for some wonderful cleaning feeling.
  • I also have a favourite diffuser blend that includes Eucalyptus: I add 4 drops of Rosemary, 2 drops of Eucalyptus Blue and 2 drops of Lavender

Delicious Caramel Slice

Delicious Caramel Slice
I made my favourite nut free caramel slice for the last Wellness Retreat I held and the participants loved it!!
It’s very sweet but has no white sugar so it’s a healthier alternative.

The second time I made it I added some Peppermint oil which I really loved but that is an option of course. If you are going to add the Essential Oil make sure you use the Young Living’s peppermint as this is a pure, therapeutic grade oil and it’s a culinary oil.

The Base is made up out 1 1/2 cups of plain activated buckwheat and 15 medjool dates. Just combine the who ingredients in a food processor. Keep mixing it until it’s evenly combined and so it’s sticking together when pressed. Then I press it into a lined 15 x 25cm tin and put it in the freezer for an hour or so.

After that I prepared the Caramel Layer which contains of 30 medjool dates, 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, 60ml water ( 1/4 cup water), 1 teaspoon of vanilla powder and a pinch of salt. I combine all these ingredients in a food processor and keep blending until it’s creamy and smooth. I then take the base out of the freezer and put this caramel layer on top and then return it to the freezer for doubt 4 hours.

I then prepare the Chocolate layer which contains of 100grams of cacao butter, 1/2 cup cacao powder, 1/4 cup maple syrup and 4 table spoons of coconut oil. I melt it over a double boiler and which is well.

Then I take out the tin from the freezer and put the chocolate layer and return to the freezer for about 30 minutes. If you want to add a few drops of Peppermint oil – do it just before you pour it on.

I return it from the freezer 30 minutes before slicing to allow the chocolate topping to thaw a bit. I slice it with a hot, sharp knife.

It's Delicious! Enjoy!

Make your own natural Deodorant

A few years ago I decide to start using deodorants that does not contain Aluminium. I was not keen on applying this mineral under my arms, particularly as there are lymph nodes there. I tried so many different brands and a lot of them had other added things it it, such as perfume or very low quality essential oils. I simply wanted to know exactly what was in it. So I decided to start making my own with beautiful therapeutic, pure grade essential oils that also have a positive impact on your body.
It is so easy to make a natural deodorant and the best thing is that you can add your favourite essential oils.
Here is a simple recipe on how I made this deodorant.

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 tbsp Certified Organic Coconut Oil
  • 2 1/2 tbsp Shea Butter
  • 1/4 cup arrowroot
  • 1 1/2 tbsp baking soda
  • 6 - 8 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
  • 6 - 8 drops of Grapefruit Essential Oil
  • 1 - 2 drop os Tea Tree Essential Oil

Start by melting the Shea butter and then add the coconut oils and let it melt together. Once it's melted, add arrowroot and baking soda and then the essential oils. Put it in a glass jar and then in the fridge until hardened.

So simple to make! You can watch the video below and make sure you subscribe to our Youtube channel so you get updated when I post more Health, Wellness and Essential Oils Tips.

How to make an Essential Oil Meditation Roller Blend

I love making Roller Blends with Essential Oils.
It is so easy!

This is what you need:

  • A 10ml Roller Bottle
  • 15 Drops of Frankincense Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops of Sacred Mountain Essential Oils
  • 10 Drops of Valor
  • 10 Drops of Lavender
  • 5 Drops of Sacred Sandalwood
  • Fractionated Coconut oil, Grapeseed Oil or Jojoba Oil (My choice was Fractionated Coconut Oil)

How to do it:
Add all the Essential Oils into the Roller bottle then add the Carrier Oil (FractiCoconut oil, Grapeseed or Jojoba Oil)

It’s easy to get the oils. I pay wholesale prices for my oils, which makes sense. The easy way to get wholesale prices for the oils is by purchasing oils over 100PV (Point Value or to get one of the Starter Packs).
I can help you with this. Feel free to fill in your details below and I will be in touch.
