I have experienced a lot of emotional pain in the last few years and I wanted to share with you some of my ways of how I have dealt with this.
Like anything, it's about awareness. We first have to become aware of that we are in pain and once we are aware, that gives us the ability to choose if we let it go or hang on to the pain. Becoming consciously aware gives us the power to choose and life is all about choices.
If you find yourself stuck and finding it hard to move forward, then it's a sign that you have emotional pain that prevents you from from healing.
There is always learnings from hurtful/painful situations. But it can be easy to become "stuck" in thinking about "how things should have been". One thing is absolutely clear - we cannot change the past. We all know that, so why do we sometimes choose to become immobilized in painful memories and feelings? Isn't it better that we realise we have a choice to change our thinking about the past and learn how to "let go".
If you feel stuck and find it hard to let go, then let me share with you some of my ways that have helped me how to deal with emotional pain.
Address your thoughts and words
When you become aware of having a negative thought, take the time to re-frame that thought or that sentence. For example, if you think or tell yourself - "I am stuck", you can reframe it to " I am moving forward easily and effortlessly". You can also create a mantra that you repeat to yourself as you are out walking
Focus on You
This is so important. It's not selfish at all! Bring yourself in the present moment. Focus on something that you are grateful for in the present moment. The present moment with yourself is a wonderful place to discover.
Distance Yourself
Distancing or removing yourself physically from the person or situation that is causing you to be "out of balance" can be helpful. It brings the focus on to you as you are becoming less reminded about the "situation"
Be Gentle with You
This is so important. As yourself if you treat yourself with kindness and compassion? Would you talk to your best friend as you talk to yourself? Start treating yourself with love and compassion. You are deserving of that and it's necessary if you want to move forward.
Start practising mindfulness
The key is really to stay in the present moment. When we are in the present moment we have more freedom to choose how we respond to our lives.
Be gentle with yourself
The key is really to stay in the present moment. When we are in the present moment we have more freedom to choose how we respond to our lives.
Allow yourself to "ride" the negative emotions
Avoiding the negative emotions such as sadness and anger can stop the process of letting go. instead allow yourself to feel the emotions - "ride them", let the flow through you. If you don't theyu can "get stuck" - wouldn't it be better to let them go so that they don't manifest as illness.
Accept that you can only control you
Sometimes we want a person to understand or apologise but that is not an expectation we can have. They may never understand and you may never get an apology. One thing that we can do though is to choose to accept that having expectations on someone else is not helpful and it can prevent us from healing. Ask yourself, wouldn't it be better to focus on you and what you can control.
Take care of you
It's so important to practise self care and self love. To do what brings us joy and happiness and to start to listen to our own needs. Start to honour your own heart. This is a game changer. Then you step into being an empowered being. Always remember - you are worth it!
Spend time and surround yourself with people who truly care
It's so important to open ourselves to lean on people who care. This can help us during times of emotional pain and help us let go and move forward. Isolation is not the key to emotional healing. We as humans need connection and closeness. Allow yourself to have this.
Give yourself permission to seek support
It's important to allow oneself to talk about it. There is nothing to be ashamed of. It's more important to get it out and let it go. Find a friend you can trust and who can hold that space or a therapist trained to do so
Forgiveness
Forgiveness for oneself is necessary if we want to "let go" so we can heal. To expect someone else to forgive us for anything can stop the process of "letting go". Forgiveness gives us the power to let go of many unwanted emotions.
Reach out
Always remember to reach out if you are noticing yourself being really down and stuck. Help is out there.
The other thing I wanted to share with you today is short "letting go and forgive yourself" meditation.

I have since been house sitting in a few different spots. I started up in Queensland and after that I've been in a few places in NSW. I am currently in Springwood, in the Blue Mountains, NSW. A week ago I took the train from here into Sydney to attend a foraging workshop in the heart of Sydney.

Diego Bonetto, Foraging Workshop, Sydney
This workshop was run by Diego Bonetto. Diego is an edible weeds avocate based in Sydney. Diego grew up on a farm in Italy and that is where he acquired his knowledge. Diego introduced us to some edible species that we could find in the heart of Sydney. Many weeds have medicinal properties. Isn't that incredible. We have nature's gifts all around us.

Some of the weeds he showed us was Dandelion, Cobbler's pegs, Chickweed, Fat hen, Flatweed, Mallow, Nettle, Sowthistle and more.
Diego was full of knowledge and passion and I thoroughly enjoyed the day.
It was so interesting and I also realised that I had a lot of knowledge and wisdom.
I grew up on a farm in Sweden and from young age I was interesting in plants and gardening and I also used to work as a florist in my late teens. I used to dry herbs and flowers and make lotions and potions. Hence why I am so drawn towards Essential Oils. It's in nature I feel the best.
You can check out Diego on his YouTube channel where there are lots of interesting videos to learn from.

Blue Mountains is a rugged area west of Sydney. The scenery is dramatic, with steep cliffs, waterfalls, eucalyptus forests and of course the galleries and gardens nearby such as Katoomba, Katoomba is the major town in the area and borders the Blue Mountains National Park and its bushwalking trails.

As I stood and took in the energy of the mountains at Echo Point I also saw the Three Sisters rock formation. What an amazing place to visit.
I felt like I was on top of the world!
Below is the video footage I took when I was up there.

Yesterday I had the great pleasure to interview James Neale.
James is a former lawyer of 12 years but interestingly he also had a successful singing career alongside that where, together with his Dad and two younger brothers, be was the lead singer in family band The Neales where they became Finalists in Britain's Got Talent 2015 and got to No22 in the UK charts in 2016.
For the past 21 months he has been a global distributor with ClearPHONE - the world's first and only decentralised, encrypted, de-Google'd phone - super private and secure - stops big tech spying/listening/stealing your data and personal info amongst other things. He enjoys working hard to help people escape the Big Tech and Big Government overreach. A keen sportsman who has a big passion for cricket.

This morning on my walk I was reflecting on "what is temporary". These reflections came about as I am about to leave the home I have had the last 3 weeks. I have been house sitting in Blacksmiths Beach in NSW, Australia. It's a beautiful part of Australia and the place I stayed at was right at the beach. I had to look after the owners rescue dog Lucy. As I walked Lucy this morning I thought, everything comes to its end eventually. There's been many goodbyes in my life. It has not been easy always. Eventually life will come to it's end too. Our time here on earth is so brief really. When we are younger we think we have all the time in the world, once you grow more mature and wiser you realise how precious this time here is. It's so precious.

At the moment I feel like I am in a time capsule, time is "different" to what it used to be. There's been a shift somehow. Sometimes it feels like I am time travelling. The present moment is the only moment that gives me comfort right now.
Do you ever ask yourself "what is temporary"? If you do, and receive your answer.....live your life from the perspective of it.
So here I am walking Lucy for the last time. I feel blessed to have had the experience to meet her and to have had the experience here. Now I am off to the Blue Mountains. I feel a sense of excitement and I also feel and sense the rest of october will be an energetically intense month. There is more work to be done, internal work that is.
Life is about learning, growing and letting go.
I leave you with the quote below.
Blessings,
Karin

Do you believe that our thoughts can influence the material world? I do believe so, I believe our thoughts can influence our material world and our reality.
The concept that manifesting our reality through our thoughts (also known as the "law of attraction") can be traced back to ancient spiritual teachings including Hindu ideas, about the unity of your mind, body and the universe.
Manifestation is the act of setting intention in the belief and hope that it will happen and then watch it become reality.
We have the power to this incredible creative force and when we pair it up with the amazing Vibrational Essential Oils it becomes even more powerful!
The sense of smell is extremely powerful as it's often linked to powerful emotions and memories and experiences. Essential oils can help in the practise of manifestation as we envision our goals and all those things we want to bring into our life, into our material world.

Which Essential Oils Will Work for Me During Manifestation?
There is no right of wrong when it comes to choosing an essential oil for manifestation. However there are essential oils that are particularly helpful as you visualise your desires.
Some of my favourite essential Oils for Manifestation are these oils from Young Living: (Young Living is my choice of oils as they are pure and vibrational which I find makes them extremely powerful)
Envision, Abundance, Peace & Calming, Magnify Your Purpose, Believe, Transformation, Clary Sage, Vetiver.

Staying away from toxic chemicals and fragrances are important as the skin is the body’s largest organ and it absorbs what you put on it.
Making sure that you choose pure, and plant based essential oils is important. My choice of essential oil brand is Young Living as they have just that; pure and plant-based essential oils.
Here are some of my favourite essential oils for the skin and how I use them
Frankincense
I use Frankincense to moisturise my face. I have and spend lots of time in the sun and Frankincense is magic for this. I put a little bit of Frankincense in my natural moisturiser – it’s also so easy to make one yourself. Just because a product is costly, does not mean it’s better than something much more affordable. Even just using a little bit of jojoba or Coconut oil with Frankincense does miracles.
Lavender
Some of the favourite ways for me to use Lavender is to add it to a cleanser as it helps with reducing appearance of blemishes and it opens the pores. It also gives me that fresh morning boost.
Adding Lavender to a hot bath is my favourite way to relax.
Geranium
This is one of my favourite smells. I absolutely love it. I love making and using Facial Serums and it’s so easy to make. I just blend three tablespoons of jojoba oil and 10 drops of Geranium essential oil. This naturally fights dry, dull skin and it helps me feel and looking youthful.
Tea Tree
Facial steaming is incredible. Yes it may take a little longer time, so perhaps you want to do it on the weekend. I recommend that you heat four cups and pour it in a bowl with six drops of Tea Tree. Tea tree is soothing for the skin, and it opens up the pores. I find the skin becomes radiant, smoother and younger-looking.

Have you ever wondered what spiritual awakening mean? And do you think you are or have gone through an awakening process?
So firstly; how can spiritual awakening be described.. well, I would describe it as a call to higher consciousness and a deeper mental awareness. It is a process that brings about personal transformation and a shift in one's world view.
Going through a spiritual awakening can be one of the most confusing, lonely, scary but also a very beautiful experience in life.

So what causes a spiritual awakening?
For many it's brought on by a life changing event. such as a traumatic experience that has a huge impact on our physical and emotional wellbeing. This event is often followed by a long period of healing. It could be from example a traumatic experience such as significant surgery, surviving an accident or serious abuse. It could be brought on by major life changing events that has the potential to change the entire course of your life such as divorce, death of aloved one, a "plandemic" or a serious illness.
It can also be brought on by a Near Death Experience. Experiencing such a profound event can transforms one's outlook on life. It can be brought on by what we know as the an existential crisis - also known as the Dark Night of the soul. During an existential crisis, an individual begins to question the meaning and purpose of life.
We can also go through a natural awakening This is an involuntary process of awakening. It takes place after engaging in a practice that produces a shift in conscious awareness.
Practices that can activate a greater conscious awareness are:
Mindfulness, Meditation, Yoga, Connecting with nature or animals for example
So, Spiritual Awakening is different for everyone. Everyone's experience is unique although and what you may experience might be something like this..
You might start to feel disconnected from the world. You may develop an awareness of your ego and that it is separate from yourself and acknowledge that there is greater energy at work within this universe - something is larger than yourself.
I'd love to hear if you have or are going through a Spiritual Awakening and what you are experiencing. Please comment below.

It's easy to stay where we are comfortable but have you ever asked yourself if that is the best place to be?
You see there are many good reasons and benefits from stepping out of your comfort zone.
Here are just a 6 reasons and benefits of leaving your comfort zone
- It makes you grow and discover a sense of self - when learning new ways of doing something we have the opportunity to grow and develop a sense of self. We also get the experience different perspectives.
- It exercises your mind! By learning to do new things we are creating new pathways in our brain.
- You become more confident and brave. Once you understand the emotions that come with stepping outside your comfort zone, you become more confident. You understand the process and it becomes more familiar to you. As you trust yourself in leaving the comfort zone you will build yourself up and become brave.
- You personally grow. You will learn a new skill and that will benefit you in so many ways.
- It can change your life! It can open new doors to experiences and possibilities that otherwise may have never appeared.
- You can find a new hobby which you love. Are there any activities that you’ve always wanted to try, but for some reason, you never have? Your comfort zone may have caused you to not try the new activity.
I decided to leave my comfort zone a few years ago when I decided that I wanted to learn to paddle a Surfski in the ocean. I had never paddled before at all, and certainly not in the ocean.
Surf skis are not easy to balance in! That certainly made me leave my comfort zone. I had to learn a new skill which challenged me. I also had to leave my comfort zone by being in the ocean. My biggest fear used to be deep water and what's in the ocean! That was another big step for me. I am so glad I decided to leave my comfort zone and learn how to Surfski. It's given be so much! New skills, more confidence, new friendships, the opportunity to travel to new places, to see wildlife, to relax from everyday stresses and more.
Last week I contacted the Mooloolaba Paddling club to see if I could go paddling with someone there. I have now been out a couple of times with people there. I did not just get to meet more people - I also get to challenge myself more by paddling further out in the ocean (about 400 meters out) and in messy, windy conditions with pretty big swell. I feel proud of myself for challenging myself once again.
Why don't you take the "chance" to try something new - it might give you so many gifts.
Below is a little video from my paddling session.
